Mission San Luis Rey - 2024 - Oceanside, California

The Mission San Luis Rey mural, based on in-person visits and images from the 1800s, was commissioned by a former business executive. The client who lives close to the mission, wished to see the mission in the meadow, as the padres and Native American Luisenos would have seen it. Rendered in acrylic paint on canvas, the mural was affixed to Diebold aluminium sheeting then adhered to the wall with steel rods.
