Cruise Night - 2019 - Vista, California
Cruise Night is an homage to the 1960s, where Americans of all stripes drove their favorite cars along Main Street to be with friends, meet new ones and bask in the neon lights glinting off freshly washed cars. Commissioned by the founding family of Foster's Freeze, the mural was inspired by my client's personal photo albums, paying tribute to cruising the boulevards of Southern California. The mural reflects the era of teenage car clubs, iconic cruise hangouts like Bob's Big Boy, Fosters Freeze, and neighborhood experiences like the Helms Bakery trucks and ice cream trucks.
